Meet the Team

As pulmonologists, our physicians possess specialized knowledge and skill in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary (lung and respiratory) conditions and diseases. Pulmonology is one of the subspecialties of the field of internal medicine. Since pulmonologists encounter a wide variety of clinical problems in their patients, they must have a strong knowledge of general internal medicine as well as the other medical subspecialties in order to properly diagnose and treat pulmonary diseases. For this reason, pulmonologists must obtain certification in internal medicine prior to obtaining their certification in pulmonary disease.

Some of the more common conditions seen in our practice are asthma, chronic cough, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease/emphysema), lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, occupational lung disease, sleep disorders, pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, and sarcoidosis.

We follow many patients with chronic lung conditions in our own practice and also serve as consultants to other physicians.
