Biography

Steven T. Kariya, MD is passionate about Pulmonology and working closely with his patients across the Kensington area to help them achieve their optimal health. Dr. Kariya received his training at Harvard College, Cornell University, Johns Hopkins (Internal Medicine), and Harvard (Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care). He has been in private practice with Pulmonologists, P.C. since 1988. he lives in Montgomery County with his wife, and daughter (Christine), both of whom are physicians. Dr. Kariya helps lead an annual medical mission to Haiti with G.W. medical students, residents, nurses, and also volunteers. He is on the board for Mercy Health Clinic.
